Spring/Summer 2013 Shoot

Shot in the Glasgow, we were so fortunate to have such a stunning day, the whole team had so much fun. It was the first time photographer Daniela Flores and the team worked together, but it all felt so natural and we had an absolute blast. Daneila did a great job sourcing all the locations for the shoot and briefing the team. The theme was a journey discovering the great city of Glasgow.

Rachel stylist from John Gillespie was also a new addition and she did a fantastic job creating 6 looks through out the day. Claire Park make up artist has been part of the team for a couple of years now and never fails to impress with her effortless approach to creating some stunning looks. And of course last but by no means least the striking Catherine Fenton our own lovely model never fails to blow us away, just so easy going and effortless, wonderful to work with.

I hope you all enjoy some of the images of what went one behind the scenes, the actual shots will have to wait for now.....

A touch of what is to come for A/W 2012

Autumn/Winter 2012 Collection.

Autumn/Winter 2012 Orange Roe Collection
Inspired by Lochnager (little hill of laughter and noise) the tangerine and turquoise in the Orange Roe collection celebrates the vivid and enchanting colours of this majestic mountain. The scarves are made from luxurious heavy silk satin, celebrating British design and craftsmanship.
Orange Roe Bold Scarf

Deep Blu Checker Scarf

The emerald green and sea of blue in the collection were inspired by Ben Lawers (Hill of the Labhair - loud stream). Drawing great inspiration from the colours and shapes found in the highlands and the geometric shapes and structures found in the Scottish Parliament building, the prints are an eclectic mix of bold patterns and vivid colours.

Scottish with a twist.

Scottish with a twist was the title of the brief given by Ingrid Tate, so began the journey of Dougal's Dad. I am inspired by narrative design. For this project I created a fictional character “Dougal’s Dad”. Through Dougal’s Dad I explored Scottish landscapes. My goal was to compare and contrast the imagery of urban versus rural Scotland. Through my research for the project I grew to love hill walking and managed to bag several Munroe’s over the summer.

"Dougal’s dad has taken me through a real journey of discovery across the highlands – offering an opportunity to reflect, gain clarity and appreciate nature.  It is an exciting, unpredictable and thoroughly fulfilling project exploring colour, pattern, print and texture."
